Kinematic Viscosity - Cannon-Fenske Opaque Viscometer - CFOV
Detail
The time is measured for a fixed volume of the liquid to flow under gravity through the capillary tube, under an accurately reproducible head and at a closely controlled temperature. The kinematic viscosity is then calculated by multiplying the efflux time in seconds by the viscometer calibration factor. The dynamic viscosity can be obtaint by multiplying the measured kinematic viscosity by the density of the liquid. |
