The automatic Bending & Breaking Stress Analyzer offers a series of outstanding advantages.
The bending force is detected by a high sensitive transducer with a resolution of 1 mN.

Economical
The new BBS 5 is a very economical instrument. It uses thermoelectric Peltier-elements for the refrigeration of the test chamber. These solid-state cooling elements require a low energy-consuming circulation cooler for counter-cooling only. A space of 0.3 m² (40 x 55 cm) will be enough on the laboratory bench, if the cooler can be placed underneath.

Recommended Accessories:

• PC-software BPACon to display sample curves, trends of force and recovery and to export data.
  
• External cooler to counter-cool the Peltier-elements.

Data Output
Although not required, the use of the BBS 5 together with a PC and the installed BPACon-Software is recommended.

Alternatively the connection of a serial printer to receive a test result for each flexion or any other interval (time or temperature according to the parameters set by the operator) is possible.

Note! Permanent-Bending-Program is only available in conjunction with the PC-Software BPACon.

BPACon-Software
This software package (for Windows®) includes the Permanent-Bending-Program. Further it permits to remote control the BBS 5 by PC, to create additional user-defined test programs and to store or reload them from a PC.

The measured data can be easily saved and evaluated on a PC in numerical form as well as a graphical diagram.

BPACon is, for instance, mandatory to run Permanent-Bending-Tests or when Glass-Transition-Temperatures are to be determined, where the trend of the bending force versus the temperature drops and the recovery trend serves as the criteria for the material under test.
