Scope:

The kinematic viscosity is measured by the time for a fixed volume of liquid to flow under gravity at a controlled temperature through a glass capillary viscometer.

The dynamic viscosity can be obtaint by multiplying the measured kinematic viscosity by the density of the liquid.
